Cloud Services // Cloud Readiness Assessment
Best for 10–250 user firms thinking about cloud

Should we move to the cloud? An honest answer in 30 days.

Most cloud projects fail not because the technology is bad, but because the firm wasn't ready. We assess what you've got, what it would cost to move, what stays on the ground, and whether the timing is right — before you spend a dollar.

Our distribution center operates around the clock. Senator Networks hardened our network infrastructure and set up local failovers that kept us completely operational through major regional fiber cuts.

Why most cloud decisions are guesses.

pain 01

The board asked. Nobody knows.

Should we move? Should we wait? Nobody on the team can answer with numbers.

pain 02

Vendor pitched. The CFO wants proof.

AWS gave you a slide deck. Doesn't show your specific costs or risks.

pain 03

Tried it. Got burned.

Last 'pilot' bloated into a 3-year project with no working result. Trust gone.

pain 04

Mixed signals from the team.

IT says 'sure', engineering says 'we already are', operations says 'why'.

What you get

What's included.

  • 01

    Workload inventory

Every server, app, database, and service mapped: what's it doing, who needs it, when does it run, what does it cost today.

  • 02

    Migration scoring

Each workload scored: easy to move, hard to move, leave on-prem. With reasoning.

  • 03

    Cost model

Three scenarios: current state, lift-and-shift to cloud, optimized cloud. Real numbers using your actual usage.

  • 04

    Risk register

What could go wrong, ranked by likelihood and impact. With mitigations.

  • 05

    Phased plan

If yes — 12-month roadmap with milestones. If no — what to revisit and when.

  • 06

    Executive readout

Board-ready slide deck plus a written one-pager. We present, you decide.

The journey

The 30-day assessment.

Phase 01 · Week 1

Discovery

Interviews with leadership, IT, and finance. Read-only access to your environment for inventory.

Watch out: Buy-in. Without leadership time, the assessment is shallow.
Phase 02 · Week 2

Inventory & analysis

Every workload measured. Dependencies mapped. Current costs gathered from invoices.

Watch out: Missing apps. Shadow IT shows up when we ask the right people.
Phase 03 · Week 3

Modeling

Three cost scenarios built. Risk register populated. Recommendations drafted.

Phase 04 · Week 4

Readout

Present to leadership. Written report delivered. Decision framework provided. We don't pressure either way.

Watch out: Treating it like a sales pitch. We honestly tell some clients to stay on-prem.

We were ready to migrate to AWS in 90 days. Senator's assessment said wait 18 months — we weren't operationally ready and our line-of-business app wasn't suited. They saved us from a six-figure mistake. We did it the right way two years later.

  • Anyone whose board has asked 'why aren't we in the cloud yet?'
  • Firms growing fast enough that physical infrastructure is becoming a bottleneck.

FAQ
Q01

Will you push us to move?

Honestly, no. We've told clients to stay on-prem. Our incentive is being right, not closing a migration deal.

Q02

How much does the assessment cost?

Fixed fee scoped to environment size. Typically $15k–$45k for a 30-day engagement. Far cheaper than discovering you weren't ready after the migration started.

Q03

Can we do part of it ourselves?

Yes — co-managed assessment is an option. Your team does the inventory; we do the analysis and recommendation.

Q04

What if we already started moving?

We can join mid-stream — usually as a course-correction. We've rescued more than one stalled migration.
